50shadesofdevon 35 Posted November 9, 2023 Wondering if you guys think it would be a good idea to do scheduled dino wipes, like they use to do on here. Would be nice to get some new dinos spawining in with the island producing a lot of low levels! Might help with the 50/50 problem as well if it adds up. 7
Brakkx 3 Posted November 25, 2023 I definitely think this needs to happen. 2
Shado- 53 Posted November 25, 2023 I third this! The overspawns in certain areas have a noticeable effect on performance and 50/50 itself spikes ping for the entire time it's rendered. Which is quite often, someone lives under it. 3
Gizmodeus 3 Posted November 25, 2023 couldnt agree more this is absolutely needed! -im 1000m away from 50/50 and the amount of pteras and dimorphs just multiply and multiply till they are 99% of the spawns around here... on reddit main communities turn ptera/dimorph spawns down because of this as they spawn infinitely, they never die because they run and hardly engage combat (very rare for dimorphs to fight) so they just multiply as other spawns dies and new dimorph/pteras spawn, which isnt good for the server and will be a contributing factor to ping raising. dino wipes would cull this mass growth of pteras/dimorphs over hours of mass build up of them. secondly tuning down their spawns would also be helpful!
Viklerius 3 Posted November 26, 2023 This would be great, most of the time when we're looking for new tames we overlook all the low levels and leave them there and still take a part in the spawn cap, getting rid of them this way would help with that and also make it easier to spot better tames 2
Van 1 Posted November 28, 2023 Do it! Same time every night would be nice. So you know if you have time to grab and KO a dino or to be in your base. I've noticed in the past the server crashes pretty often after a wipe.
Spoon 118 Posted November 28, 2023 We just invested in a whole new server box and pay more monthly for GSA. This has enabled us to do a dino wipe on every restart. Hope this helps. 1

Viper110256 1 Posted December 27, 2023 Love this feature on the server! I would like to suggest a command. !wipe - The next wipe will occur in approximately X hours. This would be a personal command only seen by the user. Thanks, Tes
